Oh my goodness! Carleigh Lou Gasen you turn 8 years old today!!! HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE!!! 8 years old, wow! I swear I was just in the hospital deciding on if today would be your birthday or if I would wait it out! It was a Friday, Friday the 13th, you made that our "lucky" day! I can't believe how many changes this year has brought! You are turning into a little lady, you are doing AMAZING at school, played soccer, just started basketball, rocking out to tap, jazz and ballet and your doing girl scouts, you also go to Prim's which is a christian based girl scout type program, very busy, but you like it. You don't love a lot of down time, if I try to plan a weekend with nothing to do, you want to fill it up! You have made lots of friends and are quite a social butterfly. I am so glad you are outgoing and not shy, (yeah right a shy kid in this family!! Haha!) You are so kind hearted and don't want to leave anyone out, so we invited your WHOLE class, GScout troop and other friends to your bowling party. It went great. A controlled chaos! You are a good big sister, and most of the time you include Caylee, but you have moments where you like to be alone without her, which is very normal but she is less than pleased during those times! Your will sit and engage with adults now holding in depth conversations about your day, today you spent 20 mins telling me all about which mints money comes from. It always catches me off guard how smart you are becoming! One of My favorite things you do is remind me that I should put a brick on your head to keep you little!! But baby girl I just don't think even a brick could stop you!!! Another story I love is that you were at Sunday School and during your praise and worship time they did communion and said if you were a baptized believer you could partake and you went up, (side note i do not believe you have to be baptized to be a believer!) when we got to the car you were quiet, and then out of nowhere you said " mom, how do I get baptized?", I explained it, "okay I would like to do that, right now , turn around we should go back, although it is going to be really cold" i explained that you couldn't do it today we needed to take a class and.talk about it more but you were insistent and then you got quiet" and then came the confession " mom I HAVE to get baptized today because I ATE THE BREAD!!!!" Oh Carleigh!! It was priceless!!!! So many stories Carleigh, you keep us laughing all the time!!!! Happy Birthday Sweet girl here is to 8 being super great and to a year that is filled with fun and excitement and that it goes by slowly!!!! I love you bunches and bunches!!!- mom
